Singer Songwriter Dean Johanesen signs with WHOA Label / WHOA Records
New York born, Bradenton, FL based singer songwriter Dean Johanesen has signed a record contract with WHOA Label.
WHOA stands for What’s Happening with Original Artists. The web site is www.whoalabel.com. WHOA includes an independent record label as well as an internet based radio station www.WHOA100.com, and a music and arts magazine http://whoamagazine.co all established to promote independent artists.

WHOA’s Bus Stop Poets recently landed a Chevy Travers Commercial licensing deal with their song Beautiful Day and both bands have records in the works and due out in the coming months with tours in the works to promote the new releases.

Johanesen’s solo record due out in November of 2012 will be released through the WHOA label. The November release will be a collection of singer /songwriter story songs that have gained attention and popularity through Johanesen’s Troubadour Songwriter “In The Round” Shows hosted at multiple venues throughout the bay area. A follow up release due out in May of 2013 will also be released through WHOA label. More information will come on the May release as recording sessions wrap in the coming months. Plans for more solo regional touring in support of the new record are in the works as well as a radio campaign, magazine feature and themed quarterly touring songwriter shows focusing on the troubadour format are also on the horizon.
